I stand all alone
Amidst dappled shade
A forest unknown
A solitary glade
The wind sighs softly
And tells secrets dark
It whispers by me
In unseen arcs

It brings wild abandon
To my quiet mind
Here I am standin’
Released by mankind
Shedding mortality
To run with the wind
What is morality?
When beasts are your kin

Vibrant life all around
Uncorrupted by fear
Innocence hate never bound
Found, only in here
In my solitude
Peace finally comes
My freedom pursued
That journey is done

I stand still again
The silence is broken
By beautiful rain
Cleansing sins unspoken
It’s gentle and pure
Like the heart of a child
Kind gift of nature
To a heart that was wild

Drops roll down my cheek
Like tears from above
Leaving clear streaks
Shining white as a dove
The beast that is man
Can, by healing, be tamed
My wounds closed as I ran
I’m no longer ashamed

My head turns to face
The path I came down
Where I left my disgrace
Where healing was found
I turn to run home
Soulless no more
Unlike mighty Rome
I will live evermore

My hate surrendered
Anger, behind
The fight has not ended
I’m still part of mankind
But the journey’s changed
It’s no longer futile
My life’s been exchanged
Someone else ran the mile

The tears from the sky
Fell from the sun
Pearls of light falling by
As healing begun
Their value - far more
Than mankind could see
I was imprisoned before
Now I’m set free

Welcome to Pip! Your healing rain looks like a beautiful walk into the light. It's all part of our evolution process and of recognizing that we are never really lost. Moments of darkness too are teaching us important lessons of life.

Love,
