Beside a gentle stream,
serenity prevails.

Be silent,
sit still.

Be mindful
how whispering river stones
connect
then with now.

Immerse yourself
in the whole
of life.

Arise
refreshed,
renewed.

MmmmmmMMM!  My favourite stanza kept changing, but it changed most often to:

Be mindful
how whispering river stones
connect
then with now.

I second Ms. "Owl's" hi-liting of that particular part of this 'write'!

a most fine 'penning'!

Your writing always lifts my spirits,
it is vibrant and so sure, so gentle and so moving.

You are a poetic minstrel, Kacy!!

Kacy,

Tonight I was out listening to the rime ice pushing against the river.  It is soothing and I felt my tensions just disappear.

I love this poem that you share with us.

Kacy,

Because you have been kind enough to read some of my work, and comment on it, I will tell you that this one works well for me.

It has a touch of pre-history, which I always find interesting.
