Where no tyranny is tolerable

I think of Charlie Columbus
(who's real name was Cristofo Colombo)
how he knew to find the West by sailing East,
although he misjudged the girth of the planet,
and how much farther he would have had to go.
Even though he thought
he was in China when he got here.
Still, he had the right idea.

The Indians should be proud of Columbus.
Before Columbus landed,
there were no such people  as Indians.
The only reason there are Indians now
is that he saw this bunch of people running around,
and because Columbus thought he was in China,
he called those people Indians.
So, if it hadn't been for Charlie Columbus,
there wouldn't be any Indians, no Thanksgiving.

Maybe Ea or Mysteria
can educate us about Canadian thanksgiving;
like why Thanksgiving is today in Canada.
Columbus never landed in Canada.
That's why they do not have Indians there.
They once did have Indians.
But now they only have First Nations there.
