Gift of Fire

If I could write to passion’s page
As flames engulf these words I wage
Immerse the soul, surround the heart
A weld so sure these flames impart
This place inside, joyful and warm
Enduring time both soft and strong
Burns lasting red as sparks renew
In soothing hours of midnight hue
A gift of fire, pure white the light
Each day a dream fueled to ignite
This simple beacon leads me on
Into your heart, my true heart’s home
The softest flame leaves mark in truth
As all is fused in living proof
If I could write to passion’s page
A gift of fire, sweet lyre of sage

This eloquently expressed poem of flaming love is, most assuredly, a "Gift of Fire".
