Fall

My finger tips are cool
A shiver down my spine
-Winter creeps closer-

The leaves change their colors
Fall away from the tree
And leave the tree naked

In the dark the tree stands
A gloomy figure in the dark
A shadow of a star

The tree will wait for spring
For new leaves to sprout forth

The seasons always change

first, I love the format you used--3 line stanzas with resolution in the third lines, down to two, down to one--but format behind, the substance is excellent

You describe the cleansing for a new growth cycle quite well.  I enjoyed the content and the form completely.
