Do I see adoration in your eyes? Do you see fear in mine? What if I’m not worthy? Not because of what I’ve done, Not because of what I’ll do, But because of whom I am. I am learning to accept me. Can you… Aceept my fears? Accept my doubt? Accept my words? Accept my love? Can I… Accept my fears? Accept my doubts? Freely give words? Freely give love? This wave of fear will subside and smiles and comfort will prevail. But unlike the ocean tides that rise and fall while sand is washed in and out of sea, a flow and ebb so constantly; Our lives shall not be so abruptly changing, Our love shall not be so violently shifting. Instead it will grow as a pool of emotions collecting raindrops of love in a place where the shores are lined with the scenery of trees, bringing to life a painting of flowers. So instead of fears and doubts, I will picture raindrops of love And a pool of hope that is quietly becoming a pond of water and beauty; Nature's inspiration fed by us. |
