Cloistered Voices

The stones still whisper
each of being
quarried roughly and then converted
down and down into a season
filled with sun
and the long, alluring look
of grape vines wiling their way
through the afternoon.
The road led by them, straight and hard,
passing fields that further on
yielded, smiling, to the sickles
sighing from the hands of peasants
amply blissful
bending over them.

Oh, this is exquisite! I'll tuck this away into my library, to enjoy at my leisure!

This is beautiful, reminds me of a painting I remember seeing somewhere.

the wonderful days, are indeed,
like grapes, waiting to be plucked
and eagerly devoured.
May you never have raisins!
Perfectly written!

This is so colorful and so very well told.  Like a painting,  your art is indeed life like.

Wonderful work!!
