Moose and Squirrel

It was teatime on the ramparts
when Moose and Squirrel sneaked down,
weaving through the heathen mass
like snakes upon the ground;
skulking in the shadows,
nicking grub and kit,
making it away and free
before the watchfires lit.

When dawn came up all shiny,
Fearless Leader bawled.
No one left to shoot inside,
just one naughty message scrawled
across the inner courtyard,
etched in desert sand;
in a shaky squirrel script:
Natasha was born a man.

Yo Nan,

This is way funny.

However, who's this Natasha chick or what?

Thanks Lady.

Robert, it's Rocky the flying Squirrel and Bullwinkle J. Moose, Boris and Natasha, and Fearless Leader.  Cartoons from back 50 years ago when I was a kid.

Nan,

That is hysterical! The squirrel is sooooo right.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Oh, I used to love those people -- and people they were to me. Heck, they still are, I freely admit it! Sometimes when life is a Fractured Fairy Tale, you've just gotta have a dose of moose and squirrel to set things right.

Not only gave me a chuckle but brought back many memories from what seems 3 lifetimes ago.  Very much enjoyed and I have to agree with Rocky on the Natasha thing.
