              Fall of Love

Wearing the frosty cloak of Autumn,
a moon of pristine magnificence
rises through wood-smoke
   and wishes
of  the latter-day dreamers
who would sacrifice all
to turn back the relentless march
   of years…
(for  just one precious moment
stolen from eternity)
to when faith in love was more
than a distant memory-shadow
dancing away along the corridors
   of no return
in ‘Deep-Time’ surrender.
