She sat as one numbed by no love
and thought desire no grandiose thing
to lie forever lazy in this haze of time
that brings a him and not a you
into her sphere of daily life.

So in the thoughts a woman thinks
she separates desire from life
and sneakily and reverently
lifts up desire as paramount
but in the land from whence comes love
she knows to let it drop
and find its own plateaux
in the one she’s yet to be.

But now a mindful juggler’s act
to keep desire up there in air
while cementing a relationship
into the ground she walks.

She looks sometimes up there in air
and smiles before she cries
but of tears she’s thankful they exist
in co-habitation with desire
because when emotion’s rife
desire unaided rises up
and moves again to be
paramount in all she feels!

Very beautiful, dear Helen! Without desire life would be totally flat, I do believe desire is what keeps us alive and able to to breathe the beauty of life.

Love and hugs.

It has certainly taken a dip into the minds of women and even men.
