Silk Lady/ Love in the Club

One night in Bangkok I was
walking down a tree lined avenue.
Under a full moon, rain was falling
softly and the winds blew nice and cool.
Across a courtyard a woman called to me.
She was standing in the moonlight
in a white silk dress, her long black
hair dancing in the music of the breeze.
As I approached her, she said only these
words "Follow me" and as I walked behind her
I delightfully admired all of her I could see.

As me and this lovely silk lady reached a
building she knocked twice upon the door.
The door opened quickly and we descended
down a long and narrow flight of stairs.
We walked down a long hallway with sofa's
along it left and right and upon each sofa
were men and women socializing and enjoying
the luscious pleasures of a romantic night.
Around a corner was a green doorway and as she
took my hand a man in a black suit let us in,
and as we entered we heard the sound of music
and joined a room full of dancers hoping this
was a night that would never end.

Oh, the Lady in white silk found the perfect romantic match in you, no doubt!

Lovely description, dear James.

For me, the giveaway line in this is the first one;

One night in Bangkok I was ...

which made me wonder if the interlude outlined here was purely of a romantic nature. If I am wrong I apologise but, as they say, poetry can be interpreted many ways.
Whatever the interpretation or intention there is certainly a touch ot fascination in this work - if only for what was not said but what may have been implied ...

Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Dylan Thomas
