Becoming Two

Once a woman sang me
a beautiful song
until I admired her,
then she sang some more
and I desired her,
then she went on tour
and I desired her more.
Then I started to understand
that I wanted to be her man
and she understood too.
Within this process
one and one
became two.

I enjoyed the perspective of "one plus one" being two, instead of "two becoming one" James. That's a refreshing perspective, which I found very thought provoking this morning. Much enjoyed.
