Love isn't worth the pain,
Shaking hands, shallow breath.
Fictional hate comes easily,
Angry words, pounding steps.
Truth impossible to find,
Rapid tears, audible sobs.
Honesty rare, surrounded by doubt.
Closing eyes, stained cheeks.
Dreams fluttering on broken wings,
Hearts falling fast, shattering on solid pavement.
Promises broken, just like an ancient mirror.
The reflections warped,
Each shard filled with regret.

This is a well written poem although I do not agree with the content.
When we have a broken love we tend to think that the world has ended. However if we are determined to try and keep on trying we are rewarded in a way that makes us forget any past pain.

Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Dylan Thomas
