BYWAYS
31 January 2004

I have touched night whispers
curved dark in secret corners;
I have painted the folded sunlight
warm on walls preening;
I have listened to the taste
of cold, sweet waters
slow in a burning throat;
I have revered the high palm leaves’ dance
flowing with the grace of flames;
for all
but the fragile now
is dead.

Yo OwlSA,

This is one of those outstanding poem that everyone seems to understand but me.

It's well written.

Thanks Bobby.     What I am saying is that I celebrate with passion everything I discover in the moment.

I started to highlight my favorite lines, but I would have been copying the entire poem! This definitely deserves a WOW!

I don't hesitate to quote it in its integrity, because it is really awesome. The now is very powerful isn't it until it's gone.

Thank you for this gem, I love it.

This is a beautiful way to show your understanding of our daily gifts that surround us all.  Excellent phrasing and superb use of the language to paint the visuals.

There are times when all that matters is now.
What a beautiful way of saying carpe diem.

Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Thank you Mark and David.  Sometimes beauty is so overwhelming that a poem bursts forth.
