Being farmed out ain’t no fun.

You’re out in the fresh air all right,
working from sun up to sun down,
digging in the ground planting stuff.

I’ll tell you where
you can stuff your fresh air.

Being farmed out ain’t no fun.

Thanks anyway, I’ll stay in town,
where I can make my own trouble.

I don’t need anyone’s help
to get calluses on my smooth hands,
digging in the ground planting stuff,
so someone else gets rich.

I’ll tell you where to shove
your butterflies and stuff.

Take my word for it.
You can keep your birds
and your bees too.

Being farmed out ain’t no fun.

Bobby

Thanks Poddarku,

For the kind words on this effort, I’m pleased it worked for you.  “Farming out” any kids is a form of slave labor.

I wish there was something - lots - I could do for Bones - to the extent that I could get him to appreciate butterflies on many different levels.

Thanks dear Owl,

Bones was/is very much like me, he’s “city”.  It’s a sense of pride that we don’t care about flowers, birds, and butterflies.  Principally because we know we should.

In addition, birds and the like remind us of time spent on the farm, which was no good.

Are butterflies going to help you in a fight.  Probably not.

You would like Bones.  He has an exquisite sense of humor.

Love Bobby
