This is based on a movie that I seen yesterday. It’s about the valley of the grapevine when
frost threatens her demise. The people of the land come with sheer butterfly wings and
gently fan, from the fire pots, warmth so the frost will not kill the sacred vine.
Love Bon-Bon

Butterfly Wings

He came to this land that was unknown to his wild heritage.
The beauty, the freshness, assailed his tender nostrils
He breathed in this beauty and it touched his very soul.
A young girl he did meet-
They soon become man and wife
and he..... loving the land.....
as if she was a jealous woman asking for his very soul.
Now this land a productive kingdom
and
the woman in her love for the man has born him many sons and daughters
for this sacred land of the vine.
High atop a mountain grows a vine given to him as a gift, binding family integrity
and
hundreds of years of Spanish heritage.
When the wind blows-
A chill of frost will threaten to freeze the
beauty from the life giving vine.
In fire pots smoke and heat rise-
Men and women ready to sacrifice their spiritual self
Raise their voices high in reverent supplications.
Each wear the delicate wings of the butterfly.
As they gently stride about this field of sweetness.
They give the vine the gift of warmth and life.
What inspirational devotion, captured, within these sacred fields.
When the frost kisses the vine
and then......the life giving kiss of blanketing the vine with the frail delicacy
of
Butterfly Wings.

Hugs
BonBon

You painted a beautiful scene of harmony between nature and men, when both are threatened.

Enjoyed this much, dear Bonbon, sounds like a fairy rite.

Love,
Margherita

I find your words much more interesting than if I had watched the TV show. Your words have some things that the moving picture lacks - humanity and soul.

Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Thank you all for reading and your kind words of praise. When I read this back to myself....I think where did those words come.
Again thank you.
