Even in summer—
The well fed horses—
Eat grass from our hands

I loved this poem...it is simply covered in possible themes and intriguing outlooks upon nature and the ways of the beasts! We as people have such a hard time distinguishing from need and want.

Melissa,

Thank you

This is a very quiet poem
like a decades old memory
from which it is taken

Thank you again
very much for liking it

John

I see a wonderful understanding of animals and nature here that I truly enjoy.

I know this will mean different things to different readers... but you sent me straight back to a special place and time that didn't seem that special then... but sure does in the rear view mirror.

Thank you for that journey!
