You left me for dead. He left you for dead. I can feel the nerves on my fingers. But my toes are empty. Like my heart. Waiting for you to rebuild me. I waited for months for you to touch me. We are close yet so far apart. My words could never reach you like they should. I want to dance with you and show you this blood red world that we can paint. Tell me my last chance and I'll avoid it with all my might. I'll never leave you. 11 years I've learned. But I never learned what I should, I never learned you. Please hook my cheek and hang me from the line. I am one of many fish in the sea. But the only one that wants to be caught by you. Others are tainted. I would walk to your house to deliver this poem. I am your Casanova, burning hot! Burn, burn I'm in flames. You light the match. And I melt. You arsonist! I'm feeling bold and will be leaving this here..in your hands and your heart. You will remember me. And you remember me and the things I write for you. |
