If Words Could Love

could you be a figment of imagination
that all poets create from nothingness?
artist we thrive to be
bringing to life our thoughts and passions
sometimes becoming that which we are not;
but in special cases
you come across golden words and thoughts
from the heart of sensuality
and the smile of an approaching storm
that makes the soul shake with chills
even as the warmth of distant love
filters from the lips of a distant lover
and her imaginary portrait
painted in sunshine and all we hope to become real.
