standing on a shadow's lace

Out There

your words touched me
on many levels
I am going through turmoil
in my own life
of a different level
decisions of
who it is I am
and of what I feel
to let go, to give in
and to live
in things
out of my control
lately in my spaces
I have come to terms
with the fact that life
is short and so is happiness
we have to grab
and hold fast to things

out there somewhere
is everything you
want to know of
where the mermaids swim
it is deep and hard to get to
but it is there along the rocks
a calm and soothing place
we have but one breath
so dive

A most meaningful write.  One breath - yes, indeed, so one should certainly dive while one can. Enjoyed!

This stands alone beautifully on its own. There is hope among the sadness.
Nicely written.

Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

I just saw this today...

Thank you.

I am trying and I hope you are too.  Happiness is far too fleeting.  I want to grab it and make the memories to live on later.

Beautiful understanding.  You validate my feelings..

A great way to make a point that carries so much truth in the way life works.  I enjoyed much and I particularly liked the ending.

I search for this place almost daily on my ocean kayak.  One day I just might find it.
