Onto earth the moonlight falls
With its beams it quietly calls
Asking the world for a midnight dance
Exciting all with passion and romance
Mysterious sister of the sun
As he leaves she has her fun
Shining brightly in the darkened sky
Entracing all with a velvet lie
Swearing to forever stay
Suddenly she fades away
