we are copper and rain with winds today
the music of our belly is inconsistent
lovely in it's unpredictability

like the moans of old trees sometimes
when there are storms and they pretend
they don't enjoy the tugging at their roots

or the bending and leaning positions
that makes them do things new
over and over until they are learned

much like our love after other lovers
and us taking time to get to know it
as we burn it over our blazing gazes

just to melt the metal off our amber

each drop of rain then
dances and waters the tree,
both thirst and play quenched.

You are the storm maker and also the drummerboy who guides the brave lovers through their wild emotional waves.

Such a delight!
