In the winds of Cherokee song

Treasures of Love

An aura of moonlit illuminations tracing each of her curves
As her smile laid a strand of pearls at the feet of my heart
Enticing a response with the wisdom each heart deserves
Seen in the emerald of her eyes as barriers began to depart

Hesitant breaths swirl in diamond dance of stars in the sky
Finding refuge in soft curls of copper wrapped in finger play
The nod of assurance comes in ruby blush of cheek so shy
Caressing the ivory lace of fingers dancing in a playful sway

Golden promises realized without the spoken word in voice
Sharing comfort of touch within a trust of innocent embrace
Saphire sighs of relief glisten on the horizon of purest choice
Found in realization of love captured in this evenings chase

The treasures of love are best found without the use of guide
Rely only on the events of time and chance in a world of two
Where expectations rise to linings of silver within each stride
Encompassing passion in an eternal seat with heavenly view

Heavenly words soothe this ache of love..
my eyes squint at the brilliance , the radiance,
the powerful lovelight shinning from them!

Mark that was so well crafted, that is wasn't even until the third read, I realized the rhyme scheme.  Moon, spoon, June, good golly ~ now that was a fabulously painted picture in words.  Here I always thought blonds had more fun - maybe it is redheads?   Beautiful!

Mr B,

Me thinks the ocean is a Lucky Lady. A woman would be so lucky to provoke thoughts such as these from a man.

I especially like the last verse where you weave great wisdom so beautifully. And as always, your descriptive powers are mesmerizing!

Stay safe! *S*

Mark - I can't speak of the treasures of love from personal experience but I certainly can know that your words are a treasure and so very beautiful - and meaningful.  Thank you!
