There's A Difference, You Know

There's a difference floating 'round here, you know
And it's cutting right down to the bone
And what's here may very well be
The difference between what is and what's shown

There's floodlights piercing, you know
Through the chest, straight to the heart
But let's thank god we know the difference, partner
Between what to end and what to start

There's self-bloom in difference, you know
There's self-bloom in laying dead
There's self-bloom in reincarnation, son
There's self-bloom in what ain't said

So if this difference could have a name, you know
If this difference could be shown
If this difference were sent to me through love
I'd send it right back, and it best leave me the Hell alone
