I'm a goldrush gorge searching peace of mind
But I left too late to get what's mine
Though the sun's set too soon to luminate my goals

Passed landscapes, valleys and poolhall drapes
My words are as true as a thief's escape
But even saying sorry takes its toll

Computer screens are all colored blind
And lovers steal from their own time
But I've no time for that, so I'm told

If I were me in a cold winding steet
I'd tell myself what my fists can't beat
But even saying sorry takes its toll

I wish I was a bold ocean view
Wouldn't it be nice to be a new wave for you
Instead of being nothing more than a washed up shore

It's hard to learn everything you've learned
A promise kept doesn't need a turn
But even saying sorry takes its toll

Now I'm a fallen star in a getaway car
I've seen much too little to be out this far
I think I'll pack it in, call it a day

I wish I was as happy as I seem
Or seemed as happy as I once have been
But it's never too late to say sorry or bare ones soul

Marc

I like this one too.  I creates a lot of visuals for me as I read.
