still seeing the intimate sounds of you

images of you still play in my ears,
i hear your whispers and feel heat
from your breath and spoken desire

it’s a beautiful song that i still see
your voice flits and flirts behind my eyelids
and i wrap around it, memory dancing

we compose an artistic opera
voices harmonize; you sing the low notes
and i, well i soar high above your song
touching vibrant colors of the music

i see you as beauty wells around me
and images of you play in my ears

Oh, Alison, this is so touching and so beautiful.  It can only be about you and Cade.  I stopped to listen to your duet and I didn't want it to end, so I had to read your exquisite poem a couple more times.  You are extremely gifted, sensitive and a wonderful, wonderful person.  I am honoured to be counted amongst your many, many friends.

Music "is" romance as romance (when right) "is" music and you portray that quite well.  A pleasure to read you.

Thank you, sweet one.  I am glad that you listened and enjoyed.  This one is actually not about Cade - his music is softer in my ears.

Sadly, there are many who have never experienced the joy of a harmonic song of love such as this. May yours sing on forever in your beautiful heart, mind, and soul.

Love and hugs,

Alison, thanks for explaining that this one wasn't about Cade.  I love how you explain the difference in the literal and metaphorical music.  Both kinds are exquisite.  I read this again, and then out of greed, again - especially for the music and very especially those clear soprano notes of skylark perfection.
