It was there
just beneath her skin
when he kissed her hand
eyes down
as if
in worship
the color rose
no
it burst
like it was answering his lips
and
daring her not to react.
It came through pores
and clung
modesty
painting only in reds and pinks.

Since it is somewhat meaningless to grade one's own poetic works, please allow me! ~ A+

A very good response to you challenge and though I could see the "blush" when I read, I couldn't find the word anywhere.  Well done.

Thanks everyone. This one came to me one of those nights I couldn't sleep (one of several) so I thought it might make a good challenge also.

thanks so much for the support. I have just recently started writing more often again, have been scared about how I am doing.
