My soul knows you
Has known you through eternity
My body and mind-
Infected with extreme denial
You were amused
A longer rope-always the ebb and flow.
Ever. You knew.

When time wound its skeptical clutches
Around me
When, to scoff at beliefs,
Was the belief of the day
You stood on the fringes
Giving me side-long glances
My soul knew your exasperation,
Asked for more time.

And in the time you gave me
When I thought you lived in stone structures
When I tried to bribe you with archaic words
When I became more holy than you
My soul heard the tinkle of your laughter
My feet landing in the quick sands of reality.

Now when I have begun to listen
To the murmurings of my soul
My heart enraptured
By your luminous presence
My body and mind
Will live the dream of abiding faith.

A beautiful story beautifully told.  Very inspiring and powerful.  It is so good to read something so positive.

Yeah Margherita hit the nail on the head, that was THE stanza

it is often not important how things, poems start, but how they end, ah to place us gently back on the ground with peace

I read this poem because I believe I will soon make a fourney of faith, to a scorpio woman in a far off place

thanks for the read, loved it
