those saturday slices of time
when nothing else matters
like socks matching in boots

and you came to that place again
knowing I was wanting you at my window
but it was to easy just to stop

so you just drove around the block
in your funny shoes like at rincon
and went slow enough for my eyes

to hear the honking of your horn
and the heartbeats of something mckuen
that wore like my shirt on your shoulders

and I dreamed of your whisper kiss sounds

You make me stop and take a moment to fall into your poetry. You never fail to stop me when I am sailing by in my typical hurry way. I love the sound of the laughter and may your socks always be mismatched in your boots. What a charming thought.

I like the first stanza
"when nothing else matters
like socks matching in boots"

that really gave me a great window into the meaning of what you were writing. Colorful vocabulary with a link for the less witted into your chain of thought really seemed to be what made this peice the most enjoyable to me. Sorry I cant make referance to your other works like some of these ladies but I am new lol.
