Somewhere over there
where a mountain joins the sky
a thread is weaved and interlocked
with all that’s meant to be
and slowly, slowly, carefully
it drops down on to earth.

It drapes itself invisibly
over physical endeavours
and trials and tribulations.
heartache, illness, death,
and this weave of thread
no accident
or evil bad luck token.

It simply comes out as the cloth
designed and manufactured
to overlay my choices,
my wishes, needs, and hopes
with pre-determined destiny.

And tonight I do not mind
what befalls my human life
or the attendant agony
because thought creates the pattern
imagination brings the colour
and life cuts the cloth
sometime or the other.

The cloth of all I thought before
would manifest and be
lies tattered now and torn
but tonight I do not mind
because I can think, you know,
and most assuredly imagine
a new and indestructible
overlay for life.

I’m busy, busy, every day;
no let-up for the mind
that creates and colours in
my pattern of existence
that may only drop to earth
when Helen’s dead and gone!

::smiles::    looky, looky, looky what I found.

Far too precious to bump.   I will place it back at the top...gently...with the admiration and respect it deserves.   ::smiles::

Thank you, Larry!  Oh, and the result of not minding is "peace" - the trick is to maintain it but I'm not doing too badly so far.

Dear Helen, this is complex thinking, but as long as it brings you peace it's perfect. We always have the choice, but sometimes we prefer to surrender, to just BE. God takes care of us through all our troubles, that's the uplifting thought for when we get weary.

I do not mind, but more so I ENJOY to read your exceptionally well written poetry either ... it is a precious gift indeed!

Love and hugs,
Margherita

Thank you all so much for your comments!  So life has thrown some stuff to make me mind and it's a battle to get back to where I was when I wrote this.  I will get there because it's my intention to do so but for now I'm just feeling it.
