The sunchasers
---------------------
She can feel the incendiary body.
Taut. Sinewy.
The body understands
what the other is saying.
A whisper of wind
passes through her hair,
comes inside the ears,
tells a thousand
sweet nothings
if you pays attention.
Then who cares to listen!
She stoops a little to sigh
her own mantra to the horse.
“Take me there. Take me.”
The horse chases a myth
with the lady in white
upon its back.
At distance a dark spot is
what has been her home.
She looks at it
and murmurs again
” Take me there. Take me.”

Beyond is a word
that has already lost
its potencies to them.

clever talks delay friendship!

Dear Ku, when there is awareness of being part of the whole, beyond can be experienced even when we are on our way/journey. I love the perfect harmony here between the woman and the horse who instinctively knows what she means. There is magnetism in this piece and mystery that makes it all the more captivating. I enjoyed your "sunchasers" greatly, my friend!

"Take me there...." into the light.

What I personally get from this is quite wonderful.

Love and hugs, dear Poet.

This felt unnervingly like my beloved late horse, Flicka, and me, so much so that it is almost scary, and I am still trying to catch my breath.

I do not have the words to tell you how much I enjoyed your beautiful poem, and how much I enjoyed it mirroring my connection with Flicka.

I knew, dear Diana, that if you found this you would react in this way. I thought of you and Flicka too when I read it.

It's more beautiful with every read, dear Ku!

Love,
Margherita

Margherita, thank you so much for knowing that!

It is such a beautiful poem - even if I had never met Flicka (perish THAT thought, it makes my blood run cold and literally gives my body and my brain the shivers - to think that I could have taken my children to a different riding school and those 20½ years plus the 2 before he was ours would never have been - that is a really horrifying thought).

When I saved this to my library, it didn't copy the poem in.  I have emailed Denise, one of the moderators about this.

I could not help but think of Owl and her beloved Flicka as I read this exceptional portrayal of the touching of spirits between a horse and its rider.

This was magical.

With love and hugs,

Thank you so much for that Linda!  So did Margherita and I - see our responses above!

Kushal, with regard to the email to you and Karilea (Sunshine), I think that she has solved the mystery as to why your poem disappears when one clicks on Print.  You had a single row of dashes here and in your other poems you put a double row - or a row of equal signs.  Could you please edit it to be the same as your other poems (with a double row) so that we can save the poem without it disappearing. Pretty please?  With bells on?
