He Anchors Me

~*Marge Tindal*~

When upon life's waves I am tossed
and all about me seems so lost
When drowning in the murky sea
To the cross of His promise
He reaches out and anchors me

In the storming I am steadied
Readied for the tempest blown
Knowing He has anchored me
for all the storms to come

Lord, sometimes I swim in doubt
far from the peace of the shore
Anchor me in the faith of you
so I will sink no more

And He lifts me steady
makes me ready
for each and every passing storm
I cling to the anchor of His cross
upon which my sins are borne

Indeed you are, Marge!  My very best to you over the next little while.  Perhaps we weren't promised or given a rose garden but we all have been given you and your beautiful poetry.  I think that's pretty special!

Much love and prayers

How many times I've thought about Peter turning from looking at Jesus with exuberant joy, to consider the threat of the high waves as he walked on the water.  Each time we get caught up in the fear, we quickly sink.  Keeping our eyes on Christ, we're so enabled by Him.

Beautiful offering, Marge, that's most appropriate at this critical time.

God bless,
  Rae

Marge, I really loved this! I know our Lord is holding you even if you feel you are rocking in the sea! Hang on for he is with you always.

I think there are times that many of us feel this way.

Such powerful faith emanates from your words, dear Marge!

Indeed He accompanies us and assists us in all of our tempests through life and this awareness makes us maintain our faith.

A very touching, beautiful write and an eloquent picture to go with.

Love and hugs.

Let me know the next time
when you're in the room of
"I've sinned"...

and I'll bring a contingent
of those who did far more...

The one thing that He has always given us
is forgiveness

And His pocket is full of that.

What a beautiful and heartfelt prayer...
from such a beautiful soul...

He's got you, Marge...
safely in His arms of love...

of power the world will know peace."

I thought about you all day today, Marge, for today is the day - Tuesday, the 19th.  I have been praying that all went well and that you will soon have a complete diagnosis, and that you will soon be on your way to a complete recovery.

Adding to the good wishes above, and especially Joyce's.  She is so right.  You are in the excellent company, of my (and your and many millions of other people's) best friend, God.

Thank you ALL for the wonderful replies~
I am lifted by my faith and He is in control~
I know that He will not let me sink~

Owl~
I sent you and email, so you were the first to know of the new scheduling for my Bronchcoscopy ... the storms caused cancellation of the one scheduled for today, and the doctor just called and our new date is Thursday, August 28, at 9:00 a.m.

I appreciate the vigil of prayer watch that you all have given me over the last three months .. time has felt like it just hangs there so slowly ... but hopefully this surgical procedure will give them what they need to reach a diagnosis on me~

I like the fact that some find me 'unique', as my doctor, who I really have a lot of faith and confidence in has pegged me his personal challenge~
I went into Shands as 'the mystery girl' ... but Dr. Jantz says he doesn't like unsolved mysteries, so he's going to solve this one !

This poem is very personal to me ... and I honestly believe that He will walk all the way with me through this health issue, and we will celebrate and give praise to His name~

I'll try to keep you all updated through the Announcements and Links Forum~
Once again, please know how much it means to me to have your prayers and your support~
