Where no tyranny is tolerable

Allegedly about Susan Caldwell
I am riding with some kids in a wind-up car.
A woman is driving this amazing car,
and the kids are continually turning the crank for power.
We get to our destination.
Now Where else would one want to go to
than to one's destination?
What other place is even worth going to, anyway?
We stop and I ask about the crank car.
Never hear of crank cars?
That's because crank mechanics get more publicity.
But this is, indeed a crank up car.
When the crank is wound up for power,
the car can be driven until it runs down;
then it can be wound up again if needed.
The car can be driven by muscle human power
because it is made
of very light-weight composite materials.
The woman tries to park the car
but has to just get out and push it, like a grocery cart,
because she can not drive and turn the crank
at the same time.

I am in a Mexican hotel room.
Now what is a Mexican hotel room?
Well, it's like any other hotel room,
only Mexican.
The Mexican bell hop is telling me, in Spanish,
where each piece of furniture is as I am touching it.
Like sighted people have a tendency to do.
Now what is a Mexican bell hop?
Well, he's like a normal bell hop,
only Mexican.
He shows me the love chair,
which is two rickety plastic chairs
that are wedged between the two beds.
The beds can not be used for anything but sleeping,
because the other guests always complain about the noise,
the entreaties, gasps and giggles of delight
That is, guests may not do the Rumba, not in bed

I am at a Mexican radio station.
Now what is a Mexican radio station?
Well, it's like a normal radio station,
only Mexican.
I tell them I am troubled by a matter of the heart,
and in Mexico, matters of the heart can mean but one thing.
Then I play the role of the talk show hostess
and give myself the very advice I sought.

I am in the apartment.
I hold a walkie talkie that was used
to get in touch with Susan Caldwell.
I want to meet her;
I have never even heard her voice. so I press the button and say: Susan? ... Susan? ...
Finally I hear a very faint: ... Susan ...
But it isn't her.
It is somebody else, some other Susan.
It is the wrong Susan.

lol@Sue-sea!

If this is dream-inspired poetry, then what I normally suggest to someone who wants dream interpretation is to figure out what the main perplexity represents to them personally.

The subsconscious speaks a decidedly personal language.

(I once dreamt that um, someone I knew who wore wigs, was talking to me in my dream as her wig was spinning wildly on her head. She was apparently unaware.)

It dawned on me later, she'd "flipped her wig"...

That's how that stuff works.

*hugs*

It's fun and quite a relief to know that our sense of humor has a sense of humor.

*chuckling* Enjoyed our Susan C., allegedly or not.

Because this is how dreams are, m'friend.

And I wonder why I have dreams that are all
about water, and blue, skies and eyes, and
blue...

sometimes we are really not supposed to understand
our dreams, except that what we remember of them
sometimes turn into poems

or novels...

or truth.

Very good, Jaime!
