Not long ago but time is a farce
I followed the wishes of soul
through the green forests of known
up to the source of mystery
and this a natural hot spring
bubbling up from the core.

Clean and fresh and sensual
it flowed over pebbles and rocks
to gather at last in a pool
used and abused by humanity.

It lies there now cold to the touch
covered with slime of the times
and sometimes the smell of despair
circulates in the air.

So I fought the trees, the shrubbery, me,
to get back to the source of mystery
and feel again the eternal heat
of the clean and sensual.

But that’s a chore for the hardy, robust,
un-possessed of intention tools
that work with the switch of a mind
and a simple flick of belief.

And so I went shopping round and about
but, lo, in a corner within
all that I needed to switch and flick
to access the channel of soul.

“Technology?” Yes, it’s the damndest thing.
I know it is there but how it all works
remains for me
a source of mystery!

My intellectual and sensual Helen, now you really got it right with that "channel of the Soul" ... To syntonize on that most rewarding channel, no technology is required and you know that. We have a wonderfully organized brain, but it seems we are only using it at a very low percentage ... but it is worth to challenge it ... by making silence and entering emptiness the source of mysteries will slowly reveal its content ...
I did not say it is easy!
Your ponderings are always a treat!

Love and hugs.

Dear Margherita - Thank you so much.  Yes, I do know.  Some things do come easy for me but I just don't know why that should be and what the purpose is when life goes on unchanged.  I guess I'll know in time.

Thanks, Eric.  I think I should take a break from story writing but some habits are hard to ... break!

I heard... somewhere...  that we only use ten percent of our brain.  I could not help but think..."Oh, What a wonderful tithe !"

Thanks Uriah, Bluesy, and AC!

Uriah, I guess ten percent is the norm and most people can afford it.  Some, however, are called to give more and it stretches the budget somewhat.  This creates some discomfort and we end up paying sporadically.
