When he was ten,
Mr. Bob took Bones
and nine other kids
from the settlement house
to Fairmont Park.

Fairmont Park
is the largest
Municipal Park
in the world.

It’s a wonderful, safe,
and green place.

The air is fresh,
and the water is clean.

Bones and the rest of the kids
had a wonderful time.

They found frogs,
snails,
and spotted a rabbit or two.

Bones even claimed
to have spotted a deer.

Apparently, the trip
made a big impression
on little Bones.

When the trip was done,
Bones actually kissed
Mr. Bob’s hand in gratitude.

It’s a gesture Mr. Bob
never forgot.

Bobby

Now here there is a Mr. Bob, who showed his heart for these children. He probably was surprised by the kiss, because he did it without expecting anything in return, as a real act of unconditional love. But the spontaneity of the gesture was surely appreciated and shows also Bones' heart was truly sensitive and generous.

This was on a lighter tone, dear Bobby, I am glad there existed moments like these in Bones' life.

Love,
Margherita

Thank you, Mr. Bob, for the continuing glimpses into the the sketchy life of Bones, and bring out obscure but meaningful details whaich shed a good light on you and others.

Bone’s escapades are fun to read and I believe based on the truth.

Thanks dear Margherita,

That’s one of the good things about Philadelphia.  No one’s life here is all bad, all the time.

Thanks for the kind words.

Love Bobby

Thanks OwlSA,

Mr. Bob was more than grateful for having a friend like "Bones" in his life.  Some people you just can never forget.
