Spider-Webbed Memory
~*Marge Tindal*~

Do not look into the dark shadows
for there you just might find
a spider-webbed memory
that binds you,holds you
messing with your mind~

The struggle of complete release
comes hard, but must be found
pull, struggle, free yourself
from the past ... the past
that holds you bound~

Flinching from the cinching
cocooned in the webbed recall
fling it off ... release it
release it all~

Free now are you
from that which held you bound
fly in total freedom
wings are now found
fly high ... fly far
above that
which held you bound~

~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~

What a brave inspiring piece, Marge.  The analogy is perfect.

May your health be restored.

God bless,

it appears Marge, that we were on the same or similar poetic wavelenght in our writings today--yet, yours apears to be so much more exquisite and elegant of thought.

but it is neat that we independently could find some common ground of thought and theme!

Yanno? You could be a doctor!

I'm smiling here, because mine told me that I needed to "put the past down so I can embrace the future."

He's such a lovely man. Married though--but you two would have made quite a pair!

*laughing*

love you Marge!

Dear Marge,

This is well done and good advice for flies.  Try to see the web from the point of view of the spider.

Very wise advice in wonderfully expressed poetry, dear Marge.

Flying with you in pure heights, feeling light, unburdened by the past events.

Love and hugs.

Dear Marge

This is so different from other poems you have posted and I thoroughly enjoyed this one!

We all spin our own webs in life........as long as we are not caught up in them!

Indeed...
those webs can be awfully sticky...

Time to break out that can of Raid
and send those spiders on their way...
