Bones makes no long term commitments.
He doesn’t like things to be on a permanent basis.

He’s not up for adoption, no, not ever.

He prefers things to be on a rental basis.

He prefers to work by the hour,
and his terms are not at all unreasonable.

Verbal contracts will work nicely.

It’s kind of a pay as you go arrangement,
nothing permanent.

No, he doesn’t want to stay the night.
Beds tend to make him
stiff and uncomfortable.

He much prefers to sleep
on the floor at home.

It’s good for his back,
and helps him maintain
his erect and pleasing posture.

The human body was really not
designed to sleep in beds.

That’s a complete fabrication
made-up by people in the bed racket
to sell the damned things.

If you like what you see in Bones,
it’s not from sleeping in beds.

Thanks anyway.

Bobby

Interesting profile, dear Bobby. Surely Bones tempered himself by sleeping on the floor, it's a quality he shares with the saints after all.

I love comfort now, can't deny that, but as a child I always surprised my Mom by wanting to sleep in strange places, even on the wooden logs piled in the kitchen, in a deep antique wardrobe, on the meadow, under a tree, even on the tree, in the hay ... wherever there was direct touch to nature's scents.

Your words make me like Bones.

Love,
Margherita

Thanks dear Margherita,

Like you, I must admit I like comfort too.  I'm weak.

However, thinking about it, beds are not needed at all.

Bones of course, he doesn't put up with such nonsense as beds.  That would be an embarrassment for him.  People would think he was soft if the word ever got out around the hood.

I like how introduce your friends to me, Bobby.  I feel for them more with each poem.  It's nice to be getting to know Bones.

Thanks dear Alison,

You would have liked Bones.  With all he had to contend with, he was always in good humor.  For some odd reason, he was extremely patriotic.  He was always one to wave the flag on the 4th of July.  I don’t really know how he did it.  Always that smile on his face.  He was a winner in my book.

Thanks dear Owl,

From both Bones and me.  Bones needs you as a friend.  In fact, he's always needed a friend like you.  Things could have been different for him with you on board.

Love Bobby
