Emerald touch

Immersed in
Mediterranean
crystal waters
I feel the sea’s caress
upon my skin,
wave after wave
it titillates my senses
till I surrender to
the wholeness of
its embrace.

Sunbeams drink
my wandering thoughts
to empty my mind.
The sky wants my eyes
to worship immensity
where divine whispers
unveil mysteries.
Held in velvety arms
I feel we are one.
The sea, the sky,
me and the sun.

Out of the profundity
of this emerald touch
suddenly god rises
in all his splendor.
Time stands still
in this moment out of space,
while with a tremor inside
I witness this mirage
projecting your face.

Yo dear Margherita,

This is a nice description of the Mediterranean.  I remember it from days working in Alexandria Egypt.

In the third strophe, “God” should be capitalized if you are talking about your god.

Dear Margherita - A magical, mystical, and most beautiful write!  You truly do express love in a most meaningful way.  The projection of a face upon a mirage (illusion) is a sure sign of soul/mind love.

Thanks to each of you for your delightful replies. I wish I had the opportunity to immerse in that way every day. It really connects me to upper spheres (yes you are right, dear D.!).

Dear Bobby, I am speaking of an "emanation of God", as I believe we all are.

Dear Roniece, so we shall have ice-cream together at Piazza Navona? I am happy for you, hopefully it will be a little less hot when you will be here.

Love and hugs.
Margherita

This verse alone says enough to sweep the reader up and cast it's spell on the mind...

I very much enjoyed.

As exquisitely beautiful as the photo is, your poem is way more beautiful and I immersed myself in it.  If I had been presented with this poem on a piece of paper with no name on it, I would have known instantly that it was a Margherita poem.  It has your wonderful identity stamped in it throughout!

Thank you dear byski and dear Anurhada for your kind replies!
Yes, byski, my life is indeed blessed, especially because I am aware of it being a precious gift of Divine Source, even when I have sad moments. Here I was writing about a wonderful holiday experience, you see it was a very short holiday but I enjoyed it much.
Love,
Margherita
