I was born with scars from all of the suicides of past lives
I have lived without a reason for so many seasons, tell me
Why has God allowed myself to live so many times?
I know you don’t have answers but I have none else to ask

Why does it hurt?
Why am I alive?
I remember all my deaths
And for what purpose?

With so many memories it’s hard to tell just who I am
With so much death around it’s hard to tell just what is love
So much life has passed, it’s time to find a purpose now
And you’re the only thing that I could find that’s worth my time

I hope you have enough room on inside of your heart for me
Because I have no other place to go
Tell me there’s a place inside of you that’s big enough for me
You see, I have no other way to know

You told me that you needed me to truly be alive
You wanted me to be a part of you
So I’ll embrace you with the essence of my very being
So that both of us will finally have a meaning

There could have been no other way
destiny led me to you
I see so clearly now, we were meant to be together
I love you so, with all my heart
And nothing will tear us apart
I promise that I’ll stay with you forever

This is my reason
This is my purpose
This is why I remember it all
This is my reason
This is my purpose
To become a part of you…

I am your slave, I will do what you say
Is this what you want…?
Then let it be…

I will take the world within my hand and squeeze it dry of life
I will drink the blood of thousands so that all of us survive
I won’t let you die, I can’t let you die
You’re the only one that ever listened to me…
I won’t let you die
I can’t let you die
So this is my purpose…
This is why…
All my lives and finally blessed…
Legio nomen mihi est…
Legio nomen mihi est…
Legio nomen mihi est…

I'm afraid I'm not conversant enough with the source of your inspiration, but I will say that it is strong enough to stand alone, apart from the anime.

I'm also smiling as I remember The Clocktower, because one of my many thoughts on the matter of reincarnation is that it is a possibility, but impossible for us to understand, because of that "time as man's invention" and indoctrination of linear thought, and if time does not exist except as a means for man to make sense of cycles, then all of our "past lives" must be happening simultaneously.

Now there's a little something to boggle the mind!

Love your work darlin'! (I wouldn't object to seeing some of your art here either.)

MOCindy- Thank  you. ^^

serenity- Worry not, this poem has nothing to do with anime, if that's what you were implying. "Umarekawari" Is Japanese for "Reincarnation", that's all. ^_^;

All of our past lives happening simultaneously, Yes! Exactly! ^_^ And all possible outcomes of all possible situations occurring concurrently, constantly. ^^

Anyway, thank you ^^ Some of my art, hm? Hmm..

Well now, y'see?

I'm not even conversant enough to go making the presumption of anime' as inspirational source.

But your reply to my reply reminded me of a quote (and yes, true to form, I forget the source) so I may be paraphrasing:

"There is nothing you can do that is very important, but it's very important that you do it."

Life in motion, the illusion of seperation from each other, when possibly, each act, each thought, every emotion could very possibly bleed into the actual whole, as in, like, a possible emotional butterfly effect, contributing to the collective unconscious of humanity toward the critical mass of a perpetual cyclical see-saw of sorts, all of which leads me to my ultimate question of:

"WHAT is the fulcrum?"

or is that a reality that is collective agreement as well, and subject to the inconstancies of cyclic and fluctuations of a mass identity?

grin...

Yer interesting. I'll shaddup now.

It is, yes. Your poem is thought provoking and also disquieting in a way ... for the conclusion. But I do believe that in the end all that is not love will be embraced by love and healed.

Welcome to Pip!

Love,
Margherita
