A Lack of Leadership

If I were driving in Northern California
and found myself at a stoplight next to
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger I would
give him a big thumb down because he
drives a gas guzzling Hummer and that
sets a poor example of leadership.

If I were driving in Northern California
and found myself at a stoplight next to
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi I would give
her two thumbs down for having the Congress
take a five week break before voting on
an Energy Bill that could have lowered the
price of gasoline for every person that
drives a vehicle in the United States.

What we have here is a lack of Leadership.

James,

People should walk more.  It's good for their health.

BTW, cheap gasoline is a thing of the past.  There just ain't that much more oil left.

Get a solar car.  Horses are nice animals.

James,

Thank you and well said.

Bobby,

Walking may be a feasible plan in a city or urban area.  Where I live it is out of the question.  And I would love to buy a solar car or a car that was better on gas consumption. However, I don't have the money to think about it after paying for gas to get to work every day so I can remain a productive member of society - and after paying my electric bill and fuel bill. I burn a lot of wood in the winter, but guess what?  It's been deemed as harmful to the atmosphere.  So much for wood, huh.

So, I will hang my hat next to James' and continue to agree with him.

Alison
