                Mystery Packets

Archie Anderson was a good family dad
And took his son to a shop selling all sorts wholesale,
Young Bill was quite smart for a six year old lad
And showed a sharp interest in what was for sale.

Walking along the many aisles with his dad,
He kept asking what different things were for,
Archie was quite surprised in the interest he had,
And happily encouraged his son to explore.

Seeing some rather strange things I suppose,
He picked them up to have a much better peek,
He seemed quite intrigued & his curiosity arose,
Then looked at his father an answer to seek.

Dad, what are these rather strange looking things
And I wonder why in the box there are three,
Facing up to the inevitable, Archie then said,
They are called condoms but to be used carefully.

But dad you haven’t told me what they are for,
As he looked at the package quite wonderingly,
Bill, you are much too young to understand their use,
You’ll learn all about them in your school’s biology.

If you must know, those three are for High Schoolers,
One for Friday, one for Saturday, and one for Sunday,
Archie thought a part explanation might help to suffice,
Thank God Billy was going back to School on Monday.

Just then Bill noticed another packet adjoining,
Look dad there’s another packet with six on display,
Ah, they are for university students my boy,
Two for Friday, two for Saturday & two for Sunday.

In wonderment Bill turned this over in his mind,
When he suddenly noticed a twelve pack next door,
Look, there’s a packet with twelve of those things,
I wonder whom they could possibly be for.

Looking at his son, wondering if he was going too far,
Well, they are really for married people answered Arch
They generally buy them in packets of twelve,
One for January, One for February, & one for March.

I think we all enjoy a little chuckle now and then and I sure admire those who can provide it. Very funny, LP.
