An older piece I'd forgotten writing.

THE STEM

You have to re-learn how
Each time, that you, create
Sometimes, it comes right to you
Sometimes, you’ll have to wait.

When your thoughts run rampant
And the juices start to flow
You may know where you’re heading
Or, you won’t know, where to go.

Inspirations may be subtle
Or, hit you like a brick
And they may last forever
Or, come and go, as quick.

Some things are understood
And some, don’t have a clue
Some say, “Yeah, I get it!”
But, to one’s self, be true.

In the eyes of the beholder
Is all, that they will see
Some may see it all
And some, blind as they can be.

But, as long as you can learn
How to do, your special thing
You might just, be surprised
At just what, you might bring.

Yo Abe,

It's true that you never know what is going to grow from a stem.  You have only an idea.
