Gotta carry it on
gotta carry it on
until the end of the song
out of darkness, into the dawn

Gotta carry it on
the valley deep
the river runs long
carried until the world is gone

I had it so wrong
left her standing on the lawn
I carried away her heart's joy
oh what a desperate desolate boy
but I beg forgiveness

and a voice for my song

All the collected bones
black and white, whispers and moans
