If there had been more between them prior to that night of just hand-holding, then this could be a rather sad poem of two people growing apart. ~ Which is what I believe this poem is truly about. However, I would like to think that this is the first connection and with it brings the promise of so much more.  I do enjoy your poetry, Eric, Linda  |

Thank you Robert and Linda. Just a thought - the world is made of no-thing. Broken down to its finest there is nothing solid. Imagine the deepest intimacy of this nothingness recognized within another and knowing truly that nothing can be shared between two that are in reality One. We share this nothing with each other...space becoming within space,openness dancing in openness, the Infinite looking in a mirror and seeing... Love, Eric |

Your thinking works on so many levels Eric. I have a passion for physics, chemistry and of course, metaphysics-the philosophy of being and knowing, of time and space, of the why in our search. In the desire to understand nature at its infinitesimal level, or our place in and relationship to the universe, the joy is in the search for truth, which may for each of us be something quite different.
