The chain that links our souls together,
Composed of forgotten halos of fallen angels.
The devils and men, forged in the flames
Brought forth by everlasting donation.
Damned and dead, sorry
Damned and dead.
Truth and lies swirl about your imaginary imagination
As a bird from heaven quotes your dying words.
Steel blades and meaningless titles…
They soar from a flurry of unwanted wisdom.
Days are coming to these…
Days for dying and rewinding.
Time hasn’t stopped, it just hasn’t moved.
There’s nothing to wait for, you’re already here.
Take these things and sacrifice them
To the God of Neverexistence.
Feel the hate of a thousand minds
Crushing down on your falsehood.
We can think together and try to free each other,
But all we’ll ever find is the open end of a closed door.
Break through, break through
That which never was.
Damned and dead, sorry
Damned and dead.
The time has come…
And the time has left…
And in your mind, it’s gone.
The time is saved
The time is earned.
But you’ll use it to waste it again.
Make it suffer or lose it all.
You’ll never see past the clock tower.
Time and time and time again
Full of bliss and ugly sin.
Time and time and damned again.
Time to let it go.
All the time you need is there,
Waiting in the clock tower.
Cannot be grasped.
Cannot be taken.
Full of darkened condemnation.
You know you have none, now you want it more.
I see it inside of you.
Your God only has as much power as you give it.
Though your sacred concept will never grow.
Your time is running out where it began.
Let go of your time, now let go.
The clock tower holds the time
In your mind.

"Your God only has as much power as you give it."

This is exceptional writing~
I totally enjoyed the urgency,
and the unleashed fury.

Well now...

*shaking my head*

As incredible as it may seem, I was just talking about this stuff with a friend, so we've got a bit of synchronicity going on here...

I was just musing on eternity as timelessness and how difficult that is for us to conceive since we are all relentlessly indoctrinated from birth to think of it as a linear ideation, totally disregarding the circular actualality of clocks. Oh. I'm prattling again.

Sorry.

I loved this much, and like the way you think. (Thanks Uriah, for sending me here! )

to both of you...

serenity blaze- Haha, what a coincidence. ^_^ You make a nice point there. All of nature itself moves in cycles, you would think most people would catch on by now that it's not all just a straight line, lol. ^^'
I'm glad you liked it. ^^ Thank you.

Veni~
I felt a progressive movement in your thoughts ... as though the seasons-of-your-ink were turning ... seeking, pondering~

This is one that will be on my 'read again' list~

Welcome to PiP ... this is my first read of your offerings ... I shall attempt to play catch up~

I am definately counting you among my favorites here on the Blue Pages.
Another GREAT job.

What would you attempt to do...if you knew you could not fail?.
