Vishakhapatnam by the bay,
your enchanting hills and streets
teem with life and friendly people.

You were always kind
and good to me
Vishakhapatnam,
and I loved the sound
of your name.

Walking the promenade
by the bay
was always an
adventurous pleasure.

I would very much like
to return to Vishakhapatnam
someday before I die.

Some people call you Vizag,
and I don’t know why.

Bobby

Hi Bobby, when you return to Vishakhapatnam, remember to call me. I haven’t been there yet. They younger generation like to shortened everything now a days. Vizag is another example. Prasad

Yo Prasad,

Okay, I'll let you know.  You might try the trip on your own if you're not too far away.

Well I suppose you'll just have to bite the bullet and revisit the Shangri-La land of Vishakhapatnam to discover what "Vizag" means. lol

Thanks dear Linda,

I just like the way Vishakhapatnum sounds.  Of course Vizag is the short name for it.

Vishakhapatnum is a highly industrialized city, or of course, I would not work there.

Thanks Secondhanddreampoet,

I'm pleased you enjoyed the read.

No, I never visited Dolphin's Nose light house.  Remember, I was there to work, not as a tourist.

It was a fine trip though.

Bobby
