I knew when Malaria Kid was all well,
when I pass him walking home from his work,
and he snarls and flips me the middle finger salute
for not picking him up and giving him a ride to his home.

Thanks dear Lady Ayla,

It's good to see someone from West Virginia here.  I lived outside Moundsville for a number of years.

I'm glad you got a lick out of the poem.

BTW, I would have given the kid a ride, however, there was always over a hundred folks leaving the plant at closing time.  There just wasn't room in the car for everyone.

Love Bobby

Thanks Artic Wind,

Yes, the kid always did have the bad attitude.  Like a lot of people, when he was sick he was as nice as could be.  Then when he got better, he returned to normal.  If you ever were too near a ditch he was digging, you could always count on getting a good dose of dirt on you.  The kid had spirit, and I’m sure he still does.
