I’m not the little girl I once was,
i have many more flaws.
Everything I do is somehow a mistake,
My smile wasn’t always this fake.

I want to go back to a time when I was real,
With my secrets I didn’t have to conceal.
The look I get when I walk down the street,
Got me feeling so incomplete.

Why’d this happen to me,
With this decision you might not agree.
Its not right, but its whats best
I’ve never felt this stressed.

This driving me insane maybe I need a shrink,
I never use to care what people think.
I want to go back in time and change what ive done,
Go back to when life was fun.

I cant take this stress anymore,
These feelings are far to strong to ignore.
Why’d it have to happen like this,
It started with one simple kiss.
And now my worlds turned upside down

I cant make a sound
Just lookin at the test
I guess its time to confess
I’ve made a mistake

Nows when I find out whos fake.
Theres no need to pretend
You were never truly my friend.
I’m stuck with this big decision

This is not the life I envisioned.

This sounds like a condition I call, "SingleMom-anism". Sadly, I have had to consider this topic often lately because of various family members. This poem reminds me to be compassionate with them and sensitive to their feelings in this situation. I also detect a hint of the issue of abortion. This, too, is a difficult issue to have to face. Thanks for sharing.
