       The Now

Listen to the pure
and simple wisdom
of a summer rain
until all clouds abate,
(emotions settling like
  the evening mist)
then follow the wayward
  moon
through a shining-forest
  world,
to where a thousand paths
intersect,
passing nowhere...
Master the art
  of being still,
and of simply ‘being’
fully in the now.

"to where a thousand paths
intersect,
passing nowhere..."
That's a good place to sit and be 'still.'

Yo Bruce,

Here in the city, it's always "now".  It's just not quiet, and mooney.

Nice work.

Awesome. It's also getting to be a treat to listen to Bobby's street talk in his reviews, lol!

~ And being in the "now" that you have so wondrously depicted, is a "now" that I would like to have 'write' now! lol

Gosh, yer good!

Warm hug and a smile,

Ahh, Bruce . . . inhaling deeply, this is my kind of now.  If it wasn't for this kind of now, I wouldn't be who I am (an owl) and where I am (in my indigenous forest) and with the blazing lifelong health that I cannot comprehend, or the age I am (62).

I love your poem.  I think this is now finally my favourite of yours.

Bruce, you captured the beauty of nature.  I love being still and just feeling the natural world that we so often (too often) take for granted.

Breathing in the now and in the stillness you conjured up here, very beautifully so, as always, dear Bruce.

Love,
Margherita
