**Hi all**
After a long time away from Pips, I'm back. I've been writing the past couple months and look forward to sharing with you all again. Hope everyone is well! Things with me are GREAT! At any rate, glad to be back.
Take care,
AMY
Warm air floating through the window
Familiar tune on the stereo by the wall
I sit here with pen in hand
Trying to cope…trying to understand

The tears are always there
Usually they just don’t show
Today I can’t hold them back
I just let them simply flow

As I continue to grow older
I miss you even more
I’m looking for a way to crawl out
There is no open window…only a closed door

The cycle has repeated itself
I see it clearly in their eyes
Though still here on this Earth
I can hear the cries of their goodbyes

When tragedy meets hopelessness
Is a train-wreck bound to occur?
I think of memories gone by
They are now just a blur

Furiously I try to find something to write
Something to show that I care
I look down at my paper
Sighing…it’s completely bare

Your blue eyes locked in my memory
The day you saved us all
So much has changed since that spring day
Already starting to feel the cold air…and it’s not even fall

Amy,
I really liked this! It's so good to have you back. And how awesome your muse is so active.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Amy! You're baaaack! ~ and in fine poetic form, I see!

I'm also pleased that things are going "GREAT" for you!

Giving you a very warm, welcome-back, pip hug!

Amy, I am glad things are great with you.

I loved your poem and its kaleidoscope of emotions.  I am sorry that there are tears, but they are a great release, aren't they?  The line that really held me in awe was the enigmatic "The day you saved us all".
